\nAnaphylaxis can be caused by any or a combination of the following:

- Foods such as peanuts, nuts, fish and shellfish, \n
- Certain medications, including antibiotics, aspirin and other over-the-counter pain relievers, and the intravenous (IV) contrast used in some imaging tests, \n
- Stings from bees, yellow jackets, wasps, hornets and fire ants, and \n
- Latex. \n
What is Epipen training?
\nThis medication is used in emergencies to treat very serious allergic reactions to insect stings/bites, foods, drugs, or other substances. Epinephrine acts quickly to improve breathing, stimulate the heart, raise dropping blood pressure, reverse hives, and reduce swelling of the face, lips, and throat.

\nCan EpiPen stop an asthma attack?

\nIn the event of an emergency (where the victim may be experiencing an asthma attack or severe allergic reaction), use EpiPen ® first (or other adrenaline/epinephrine injections such as Jext or Emerade). After using the epinephrine injection, follow medical instructions for controlling asthma.
