You will be introduced to the basics of nutrition and its building blocks before moving on to the troublesome subject of eating disorders.

You will then look at the digestive system and how it works before returning in more detail to the whole issue of diets and their relevant benefits for individuals.

Calories, Carbohydrates, Protein, Fat and Fibre are then discussed in detail and how they can work to help us.

We then move on to the features of both vegetarian and vegan diets.

Next is the important issue of legislation and the approved labelling system in the UK for foods before finishing off with how to plan diets for different people and circumstances.

QUALIFICATION INFORMATION
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details of all the units the learner has completed as part of the course).

The course comes to you as a paper-based pack delivered by courier.

You will be given guidance through the Study Guide on the nuts and bolts of studying and submitting assignments.

Postal assignments cannot be accepted without prior permission from the tutor.
